"One game. That's all it is. I gotta do a much better job. We gotta coach better, we gotta play better, and we've got to stick together. Nobody ever said it was going to be easy. Nobody ever said anything was easy. That's one game. We learn from our mistakes in that game, and we move on to Virginia. We keep doing things the right way."

*Florida beats FSU: "This mangled one-eared pit bull of a team with vertigo, oil in its fur from sleeping beneath the car and none of its shots is 11-1."
(SBNation's Spencer Hall)
*Florida has wins at A&M, vs. LSU, vs. South Carolina, at FSU. Only loss by 8 to third-ranked team. Often ugly ... but mostly effective. (ESPN.com's Travis Haney)
*Penn State ends with a W: Well, that is sure as hell the weirdest and most compelling 8-4 football season I've ever seen. (Grantland's Michael Weinreb)

This was Sandusky bathing them in his narcissism, reminding everyone, and his victims in particular, that when he leans back on that prison bed, no matter how thin the mattress, uncomfortable the conditions or inedible the lunch, no can stop him from reliving it all. He wanted them to know: They'll remain his. Forever. That part of Touchdown Jerry, clad in red, remains safe and secure.
(via Yahoo Sports) , adding: "The only hope is that it wasn't effective, that it won't stick with those frightened kids who became powerful men, and that the hateful, harmful words of Jerry Sandusky just drifted off into the Bellefonte air, soon to be forgotten like the shrinking pathetic man they took away on Tuesday to die."
